London and HOME

Sorry about the bad quality of the photo...Zac's room (yes if you follow R;s blog you will know we had moved boys to the top of the house where two good size rooms were not really made much use of). Zac's room is amazing. Its a very unusual shape and its soooo cosy. I intentionally made it look like a tent....he loved loved it and this is third night he is been sleeping there and seems to be very happy and content. I am chaft with it. More photos soon.Toy Story mad my son....yes...after dinner they make their way up for baths....(well not straight away but after downstairs tidy up) and then they have their baths. After Pjs are put on they have a play upstairs while I get ready things and they choose their books to read. Zac's favourite now its "Just in case you ever wonder" - Max Lucado...its beautifully illustrated and talks about God and how special each child is. Anyway, Zac loves cuddleing Mr. Potato head which was his birth present to his big brother:)))Last Sunday we went to London, and on the South Bank (my favourite) Zac has met with Mickey...and well loads of other characters. I wasnt sure he would know who they are but he was def knowing Mickey. he loved cuddling him. I must get him a Mickey soft toy cause he just was glued to this one....which cost me probably as much as a toy Mickey Mouse. It was a busy busy Sunday, we went on the train (Zac had a nap) then we walked on the South Bank and visited the London Aquarium ....then we walked to St James's park and had picknick and then walked to Covent Garden via the strand. Yea, well it was busy but we had so much fun. If weather will stay warm we will venture out more...God knows we miss the sun and some nice outings. For now....mummy and daddy busy with boys rooms and their own rooms being decorated and refreshed too....so all very much feeling like spring here....mummy also hopes to try and get the boys into gardening some!!!:))

MY 2 YEAR OLD BIG BOY! Zacariah Jesse Smith

A really successful party! Mama has made all these beautiful aprons as gifts to all who attended Zac;s party. It was such a delight to have so many kids there (38) and only 2 of the invited ones did not make it...one due to illness and the other was away.....still party was a great success!!!To make a good party takes time and energy and a lot of planning. I think would have been less hard work would I have gone for the easy and cheep option but no...I enjoy giving my kids and my friends the best I have...they all deserve it. Thank God I was able to do another party....yay!Zac's 2nd birthday party was celebrated on the 18th Feb (2 days after his real bday which was celebrated just by us the family and Rebeka and mum who were here) and it was such a great party...Zac was so overwhelmed but yet so happy. He had two Toy Story cakes to share with his friends and 1 yummy coffee cake for the mums and dads....(we were honoured that so many mummies and daddies have come the cake dissapeared as soon as it was cut). His favourite motorbike .....ohhh this motorbike surley makes mum and dad happy:))) keeps him entertained in the early mornings and now that finally is warmer we are out and about with it too.now you might wonder what this is?! Well, our very good friend Clive Miller has set up an area in the church hall where they could sit down and eat and enjoy TOy Story on big screen....it was like being in the cinema...:)) THANKS TO CLIVE kids were very good and well entertained. The two grandma's , granny Smith (pink top) and Mama were well entertained too. Such a great joy to have two of the grandma's here for the birthday party.Zac was very keen to put on his Buzz LIghtyear outfit and was a pleasure to see some of the kids dressed as Buzz, Woody and Jess....so we had that also to enjoy....Zac was aware it was his bday and enjoyed carrying around his presents and opening them....later at home. He was showered with gifts...what great friends we have! THANK YOU ALL.Do I say anything?! THese two love love each other! My little sister now 2o?! What what- yes she is...and in love with my Zackie and the feeling is def mutual. Rebeka you are such a treasure! WWIDo without such an amazing little sister?!One of the two tables that I set up with snacks and food....:)))all made in house! I am good arent I?:)) I think the older generation was pretty taken aback with the preparations going on for this bday...I loved it and enjoyed it.Over all we think party was a real success. Unlike before we had no food, drinks and cake left!:) We had happy customers:)) kids loved their photo shoots (well done Catherine Price from LOVELANEPHOTOGRAPHY) and the cinema (THANKS CLIVE MILLER), the wonderful aprons made by my mum...and worn for photo by kids at the party.....and well we were happy that everyone seemed happy. To follow up on the bday we had also spent Sunday the 26th in London with both boys enjoying some more bday spoiledge!!:))) It was fab to walk the South Bank (one of my favourite) then to go to London Aquarium, St James Park, Covent Garden...and boys were amazingly well behaved. ....

MAMA AND REBEKA's visit!

My little cake (lemon cheescake) for Zac;s bday. It was such a nice family bday...with Zackie falling asleep at 10am when granny Smith came to visit but then perking up later and enjoying a tea time with mama at a great new coffee shop called THE COFFEE POT in Rochester Highstreet.Yes, I now have a 2 years old...he is soooooo stubborn...he thinks he is 4 like his brother and when asked what his name is he says "booben"(Reuben). He knows he should be Zackie off course but likes when we all laugh and remind him that is certainly not his name. He is really such a character! We are loving his cheecky personality.A few things went baby toys and such and suddenly I remembered we had a scooter at this stage for Reuben and wondered if Zac would master it too?! Well, would you believe it....Zackie not only is mastering it (ha ha :) he has walked from our house through the Vines Park...down the Cathedral and Castle and all the way to the end of the highstreet with it).....determination....we are enjoying his massive developments. He knows around 100 words or so....can speak if he needs things and is very predictable....a real sweety.Loves loves, trains, wible woble things and basically as many balls as one can have.....plays football amazingly good...he actually tackles the ball and dribble it ever so well...I won;t mention he kicks it well too. Reuben certainly never showed that much interest in footballs. My little reminder of LIFE beyond DEATH.....or life after what it might look like dark and lifless times. Zackie I will never forget that while professionals and those who should have promoted your life were ready to take it away while God all along was making you our perfect gift of LIFE. I will always tell you how special you are, how unique and that we will always always love you that much more. And yes, my belief is that no matter how bare, lifless something is ....given a chance can be all that it was intended to be. I hope God will keep blessing you and making you into what he intended you to be! I know he will....cause he is good like that. LOVE YOU LOADS.

FEBRUARY

So February has brought us some white fresh snow and we really really needed to explore it....so much so that basically the whole day consisted of snow-ing around. First things first after breakfast we messed up the fresh snow in the garden and russled up a snow man with some coffee eyes and Diesel hat and scarf:))Then we took a look outside in the development and made an interesting discovery that it was snow all over not just in our garden....And off course had to take Barcy ball too the snow too....Then we all went to Boley Hill our traditional sledging place....it was fabulous! We just found it so hard to leave the snow and cweome in.....we had been out all day ....exploring it from all possible ways and even clearing our path in front of the house. I was fearing he might get frustrated with the snow but no he loved it. HE is my boy after all. I have to report Zackie's speech has really been massivly speeding around. This is gona be a very exciting month....not only Zackie will celebrate (all being well) his 2nd birthday which is scary, but he will also get to see (we hope weather permitting) mama, and aunty Rebeka....for a whole 10 days we will have plenty fun. I am so excited cant really wait to see his little face....until then loads of work to be done. Will try and post more regularly. I really cant believe he is gona be 2!!! Well I cant believe we are leaving the baby stages....and possibly todler stage behind and embracing nr 3:)))who would have thought I survived it?!:)) I know when Zac was very young and Reuben too I found it hard to imagine what my life would be like....and how I would have overcome so many sleepless nights, crises's that the first two years bring on a parent. BUt good news I almost did...I hope I do. Its b....y hard at times its surley like killing me over and over again while most times its the most fabulastic to be a PARENT and twice I am sure somewhere a trofee should be comming my way:))))) if only. My troffees are my gorgeous and wonderful kids I totally believe that.

another January post:)

Hi there! Ahhh we really needed to get out as a family. Dont get me wrong its not that we don;t get out its just we seem to go to indoor play areas and we are missing so much the outdooooooooors. It was sunny and after a week of illnesses and driving each other mad....we were ready for some adventure.I know you would have heard this but my baby is 2 years old in about 25 days....and I am holding on to my sunshine!:) Yes, although a bit tantrumy and a bit snotty and temperamental like his mummy I love love my bundle of joy. Zackie is just that most lovley cuddly and sweet boy ...but be warned he can easily and very quickly turn into your nightmere tooo:))) Anyway, was nice to snug up and watch the penguins...and he did not seem to mind it either....as normally would prefere some independence and freedom to run around.ha ha:)) this black goat thing:) has been there last time we visited and he rather likes us (perhaps he would like to come home with us?)) and Zackie took to him quite a bit...ok both of my sons are more courageous then me and certainly then I remember being at their age...they just pet all kinds and think every animal is a friend....some of this months favourite pics now....attempting to potty train?!:) nah, not really bothered. It will happen when it happens. Don;t know many adults with nappoes (:))) so I think it will def have to happen sometime. I know I probably should get all competitive and give myself unnecessary tasks and amazingly stressful and all important guilt trips but nope, dummy and nappy stay as long as they need tooo and I shall enjoy peace of mind as long as I can....:))) Enjoying some swimming with Charlie our swimming pro coach!! Love him.And a typical morning in our house...boys enjoying chockie toast and watching something rather interesting on TV. I love the toes...don;t you?!:))Thank you to Reuben's friend Zac got a play date with Reuben;s friend's brother and his toys:)) there is some fun after all in double playdates....:))) here we had been introduced big time to HOTWHEEELS:))Yeah....I love him I just do....he loves loves Knoor Chicken Noodle Soup...and I have to tell its just like my mums....:))Zac loves loves soup....in all shapes and forms. As long as I have my dummy, my chickhick and bowl of food, drink I shall be happy:)) oh and my TV with some Thomas the tank engine, cars or toy story....my comfy STOKE chair and some good mummy company......boys will be boys.

2012 Brighter year?!

sporting the beautifulblue jacket from mama!trying to run away in Andris's shoes!!:))cuddle with mummy!!:)))I need to be the tallest one!trains trains trains...more trains....What I got to be a conductor?! Oh my oh my!ready for departure:)Loving the museum....Hi! Well 2012 so far has been rather interesting. Zac seems to have embraced being at home more but even he has always been happyish home now he requires much preparation before we actually go out. I have to give him enough time and keep reminding him of what we are doing so that he will willingly comply. He has the strongest personality I have seen around...and I am alwasy facinated with how he is so dinky yet so inteligent and unbelievably cute. He certainly idolises Reuben and when asked what his name is "buben" is the answer. The other day I was stunned (while reading a book) he understood everything. He pointed at all parts of his body as we named them and acted out a huge number of things. Although not very understandable to others I surley know and note what he is saying and he is a real chatterbox. He can and will say "mine" a lot which means he would like something...., he can ask for water or drink and juice, he can ask for food, he can say if he wants to go somewhere and the other day we had discovered he can put on shoes and coat (not zipping it) and dash out the door. Yes, I was taking Reuben to school one morning and we decided he will keep Zac here with his daddy as it was pouring with rain. He was at the time with daddy so we ran out the door and left the house. Daddy chatted to him while dressing and getting ready for work....then there was silence. Zac has often gone down stairs before and watched TV or such so Jonathan thought thats what happened. He kept calling out for Zackie but when no real response he came to see where he was....and he was no where in the house and the open door suggested he has left the house. Jonathan cought up with him half way up the hill of our development...apparently he said he was gona go see buben and mummy. Bless, he does really miss his brother now R is at school and no one is as good as his BUBEN even though the moment he gets home they clash over toys...:)))
We had Andris my friend over for the weekend and Zackie was a sweet heart befriending Andris. One thing I love about Zackie is that he really notices guests and often happy to just be where the guests are.....and often sits happily at the kitchen table while they have coffe, food or just chat there. He also is happy to see ood anytime of the day even right after a meal...anyone sitting down eating drinking won;t be alone in the house Zac often sits down and joins in:)) I would like to say that he eats a lot but really he just got very hungry eyes....often he takes one or two bites or ethusiastic spoonfulls with all the yummmm and extactic movement of eyes but thats all....
LAst night was a very unusual night. He called out loads and at 1pm for Reuben's sake (so he won;t wake his brother) I moved Z in our bed. He wedged himself comfortably between J and I and at 5am he decided he was not having any more and walked out the bed calling for buben to come and play. I managed to rescue the situation and both me and J came and stayed with him. I hoped by 8-9am he will want a nap but he just got more excited. Eventually at 10:30am he gave in and had 2 hours sleep and no other napping til late this evening. I had to go to bed with him this evening I was soooo tired. THANKS SON next time tell me in advance so can sleep and energise before.....
Over all he is very pleasant. Every time Iveta brings him home tells me how lovley and good he is....I am clearly happy as sometimes at home he can be a handful....especially at beings trong willed...he must be taking after daddy:))) not really its all me.:))) so here we go some pictures and a cute VIDEO!!:)) enjoy.
